Join Jo to draw along to photographic reference images gathered early summer, 2025, in West Yorkshire. The references in this session focus entirely upon the foxglove. Beginning with super closeup shots of the flower’s internal patterns the images gradually zoom out to reveal more of the subject in its setting. Photographed against dry stone walls in West Yorkshire, these shots reveal clear silhouettes against dark tones as well as opportunity to incorporate their texture.
Jo’s Draw Along sessions are informal co-drawing events, held live and recorded on zoom. Draw together with Jo, hearing as she works how she approaches, tackles and problem solves. Work from Jo’s own photo references - chosen especially for their suitability for drawing. Jo’s camera is visible but the focus is upon the reference images and self guided drawing.
