This May I'm excited to be organising a free event in Huddersfield, for anyone with an interest in wild food & foraging. The event is taking place at Coffeevolution, where I have recently completed my third seasonal window drawing. This season's drawing celebrates the edible plants of spring time & my design incorporates hawthorn, nettle, dandelion, primrose, broom, sweet cicely, sorrel & sow thistle.
You might spot one or two of some children's drawings alongside my own artwork in these pictures. I asked for children's contributions & the wonderful contributions we received added a lovely character to the design.

Join us between 6:30 & 8:30pm
Michelle Bella will be talking us through the edible plants in season, how to identify them & how they can be used in drinks, garnishes or dishes. You'll also be able to try these wild foods with some tasty samples. We'll be sharing books or resources from our own collections, which may offer a good starting point for anyone interested in developing this interest.
